Miles fell asleep in my arms, something he doesn't do very often anymore.. I loved it!

This spring has been very busy with youth activities and family things also. April 11th we had our annual Parent Appreciation Banquet that the teens put on. It was a lot of fun and I think the parents really enjoyed their burger, fries and shakes. The rest of us really enjoyed their poodle skirts and other fifties gear!
Last Friday I drove up to Northland with Haven and Miles and my good friend, Katie, whose help I greatly appreciated! We had a surprise bridal shower for my sister, Chrissy, Friday night and I think we pulled it off! It was a lot of fun! It was good to see Van and Loretta and the boys, too. Then Saturday Steve drove up with about 70 of our teens for Springfest, a fun day of preaching and activities. It was pretty chilly that day and there were a few snow flurries, but everyone had fun regardless.
Haven seemed like she was not feeling very well on the drive back and she had a lot of goop coming out of her eyes. So, I stayed home from church on Sunday, and then took her to the Dr. on Monday. She gave us a prescription for eye drops which cleared up the Pink Eye, and Haven is doing better. I'm also getting over a ridiculous cold. And I just felt Miles gum today and he is getting his first tooth! He has been pretty good about it, a little fussy, but he mostly just eats his hands! :)
Miles is 7 months old now, he is sitting up really well, which is so nice. He and Haven play a lot. He talks a lot making sounds like, bla bla bla and da da da. It's so cute, I love this stage! He is such a good, content baby. He's also eating quite a lot of baby food. He pretty much scarfs down everything I feed him. It must be a boy thing! :) He's at least 20 pouns now and just a chunky monkey, but long, too.
Haven is a little over 2 and I am thinking about potty-training soon hopefully. That and getting rid of the nuk are the 2 biggest hurdles this summer! She is a big girl. I have let her help me make cookies and brownies lately and it's been a lot of fun. She will go get things for me when I ask most of the time. She is a sweet little girl with a very strong will. We are definitely in the discipline stage, but we know it is worth it! I just pray both Haven and Miles will grow to know and love God and want to serve Him with their whole lives!
Well, that's an update on us. I know as soon as I post I'll think of something else I forgot, but oh well... :)
We are looking ahead to a very busy next few months- at least for Steve! We just had a leadership conference at our church for the teens this weekend and every weekend in May is filled with a big activities, so he is going to be a busy man! My parents are coming to visit on Monday, then we are driving up for Chris' graduation on Friday. Right after graduation we are all caravaning to Iowa to visit my Grandpa and Aunt and Uncle and Cousins for a couple of days. Then, in June Chris is getting married and we have camp, then the Missions trip in July and before you know it summer has flown by! Last year I was not prepared for how busy or how fast it would be! But it is a wonderful time and I so look forward to what God is going to do!

Miles had fun his first time playing outside!

Miles was crying and Haven couldn't resist giving him a bottle, such a big helper!

I love that last picture of you and Steve - so cute! Good to hear you're doing well and the kids are growing up so quickly! I know what you mean about not being prepared for how busy things are. It looks like a lot of work went into that 50's diner banquet - the decorations look great! Isn't it crazy that Chrissy's getting married? Pretty soon you'll be able to get together with all your babies =) Keep looking to the Lord for your strength and enjoy the pretty weather He's given us!
